The Long Winter
The Tide’s Song and the Long Winter
9 Autumn 218
After questioning Carter, the ship learns the Long Winter blasted apart the Briarbird Rebellion ships that were swooping in to pick off the apparently-lone Swan ship. Ethan and Warbler fly invisibly on ahead, planning to free Danica before signaling the others to attack or flee once she’s safe. They infiltrate successfully but find she’s already broken out, and after opening a trapped chest courtesy of Kelwin, because Ethan never learns, the Tide’s Song draws close enough to attract attention and they start to attack.
