At the docks, Ethan breaks the ballista string before scarpering away. Avarian attempts to get the ship going, while Talith goes to retrieve a bundle some Swans were carting away and Roux covers Talith.
Astarael wrecks face on the warship while Sav swims toward it as a serpent.
In town, Danica and Nemra find a wounded Briarbird in a safehouse and help him, learn Westerley was taken to jail, half of a passphrase and an occasional meeting spot. They go to meet up with Ethan at a prearranged spot before they go to break Westerly out. Carter kills the Swan attempting to escort her to safety and finds Ethan, heading toward the town square.

Oh yeah, and they’re stealing back their boat and killing anyone unlucky enough to be on board when they do!
So, that’s about it. A nice simple day ruined by some “mischief,” a murder, and an Earboy. We’ll see how it turns out. The Little Guy – the one with the limp – seems to be cooking up a scheme for the folks in the jail.
