Bishop
The Tide’s Song
32 Autumn 218
The existence of Bishop in Ethan’s ring is discovered when Astarael attempts to Invade Ethan’s thoughts (as a test).
Sav discovers that Ethan’s anti-magic-detection protection does not extend to Warbler being carried on him, but that the chest used on Vanja does. They do some more tests on the chest with Warbler’s abilities.
Astarael and Sylas chat, where Astarael admits she’s willing to kill everyone else as unfortunate collateral damage if it means Tyr Isendel wouldn’t get away, or to use it to kill them before they get captured.
Sylas fights the figure with the tusked mask in his head, and the Raven Queen tells him that he created himself, to his disbelief, which is why she’s interested in him; he’s different from anything that came before, as he’s still becoming. She also says she keeps Bax’s soul around because he made a deal for Roux’s soul, and she doesn’t decide when it’s time for them to move on.
Aloysius finds a ship flying Inquisition flags a few hours away.
