Everyone makes a bunch of final preparations.
Carter comes to the city to talk to her folk, making them suspicious with her warnings to leave if anything possibly happens, no reason, just a thought, just leaving to see some friends. Sav visits the Sylas estate as “Safrid” to chat up the steward Warner, who did know of “Safrid“‘s existence but doesn’t appear to know anything about Reis’ plot or “Safrid” being kicked out. The city team discovers several cells of Briarbirds were discovered and killed, including Grisham; Sav does her level best to give them a pep talk and summons a construct as a show of might. Talith pep talks the island rebellion, probably more successfully. Ethan receives a letter at the tavern from Ellie, but can’t bring himself to either burn it or open it.
Warbler and Ethan venture into the sewers and infiltrate into one of the catacomb/prison cell areas of the Cathedral, finding some imprisoned animals, a grow lab, and a summoning room with a giant floating eyeball with smaller eyeballs imprisoned (!).
