Ethan investigates more and finds Eirlys. They get some info from him and manage to convince him to leave, to keep him from coming to harm; the Briarbirds send a contingent to escort him to the Spindlemark Theater. They confer and agree to wait for about 1.5 hours before the outside people will attempt to Teleportation Circle in, and Ethan and Warbler rest. At this way too late point in time, Ethan brings up that “witches” isn’t a great PR term and maybe they should call themselves Ravens - there’s a bird association, to go with the Briarbirds, plus a collective of them is called a Conspiracy. (It is noted that he doesn’t bring up crows.)
After about an hour, an alarm goes off, so Ethan starts to move. Warbler removes a number of obstacles in the way, and Ethan sneaks into the experimentation hall with the wonky Teleportation Circle and hearing that Inquisitor Vethedrin (who was heading the research in the prison) was sent after the escaped Eirlys. Ethan assassinates a Swan and starts the fight, and Warbler continues it. They manage to get the Teleportation Circle fixed just in time, as Sav contacts Warbler and tells Astarael to send her folks through. They get both sides through, as many as possible.
