The Wilds
Shortcut! (by Jessica Dru)The Wilds of Easvolin
Winter 17
They leave town with a sled-wagon full of food and supplies. Kaisi, Aureya and Faine decide to sled down a shortcut, while the others take a longer route around with the wagon; the wagon team takes the wrong fork and ends up further away from the end of the sled route. Aureya, scouting, finds an auronachus carcass, clearly eaten by something even bigger.
