Bax and his father Abram live on the edge of the forest just outside the town. A meager living is earned by Abram as there’s not much to be made as a tanner and fur trader in a village the size of Aelorean. A lack of funds has never been a real concern for Bax though. Who has time to worry about money when there’s naps to be had and high places to jump from.
Coming from a meager household however means that Abram had to teach Bax at an early age how to hunt and provide nourishment for themselves. Bax never minded hunting as it meant that he and his father would always have fresh food. Over the years Bax has gotten pretty good at hunting; he is practiced with his hunting spear and and found that the more quickly he can complete hunting, the more time in the day he can have to hang out with his friends or bathe in the sun.
With old and well worn hides, Bax is no stranger to playing too rough. Jumping from great heights before a dare is uttered is par for the course. He is often covered in scrapes and scratches and has the odd scar here and there from failed stunts or jumps.
Life is always changing, however. Last winter, Abram came home with a wound from the bite of a wild dog and has fallen in and out of illness ever since. The family has spent the last of their money on tinctures and potions from the apothecary, but nothing has cured Abram - who in the past months has become too weak to go hunting. Bax has done his best to make up the work, but always come home with fewer skins that Abram had when he was well.
Recently, Bax had been seen wearing a new vest made from strangely fine fabrics.
