Omen
The Inquisition Ship
32 Autumn 218
They fight Holland Blackwing, who crushes Danica in a few bites. Sylas and Carter, attempting to get him to turn his attention to them, taunts him with the death of his lover Adelard Sylas. He instead says that although the Baroness wanted him to bring back Danica alive, for their taunts, he’s going to make them suffer the same way he did, and then Disintegrates Danica.
They kill him almost immediately thereafter while the surviving elite Swans flee. As they mourn, Danica is brought back by the power of the two feathers they’ve collected and a Wish from an unknown cosmic being, which also gives her permanent wings and the choice to bring Holland back (she doesn’t).
