Coming Home
Galoring and the Tide’s Song
33-36 Autumn 218
In the city, Sav takes some paranoid measures at the seedy inn she rents out to cover her tracks and investigates the theater and Auldaran’s house, breaking into the latter and finding letters from Adelard Sylas that indicate money was being sent, but that Reis lied through his teeth to keep the money coming (especially after Lusira died and Sav was kicked out). She finds out from Sylas Remnant that the Inquisitor used to live in the Gardens District. She also gives the puppet given to her by a wild man to the urchin she hired to spy on Reis, stealthily stuffed with silver.
In the city, but slightly later, Ethan, Warbler, and Grisham stay in an inn recommended by the dockmaster who knew they wanted to talk to someone who knows things and has a lot of contacts of the right sort. They get woken and taken to meet with Miriam, who questions what they’re doing here and considers a deal to help them if they steal something for her.
Carter attempts to suss out Garth's loyalties. (by Kate Quimby)On the ship, Danica and Sylas talk about Bax and what happened to him. Carter grills Avarian about what Alistair was like and what Avarian gets out of this. The team discusses next steps and decide the best possible route is to terrorize the populace/Swans to get them to give in as quickly as possible, while another sub-team kidnaps the magistrate. Avarian tries to get Talith to make up with Sylas.
