A day earlier, Sav breaks into the theater office and finds the logs that show embezzlement occurring, making copies of significant portions. It’s apparent someone else has already gone over these same records before and found the same things, as well. Arcane Eyeing the cathedral, she finds a sump way in and explores the lower area of the Cathedral to find a barrier her Eye can’t see through and a half-elf Inquisitor.
The next day, Ethan and Warbler are given their target for the theft. Warbler gets new boots and Ethan goes shopping for special cigarillos. Their assigned bully-boy Hock takes them to a hospital in the slums, where they see a woman with a glowing bracelet heal (probably) a sick child.
On the ship, Talith and Sylas speak and sort of come to a middle, agreeing that they would back each other up in battle, but outside of it Sylas reiterates that he doesn’t trust Talith’s decision-making.
Carter and Danica talk about Sylas a little, they speak about their current states and Danica dodges discussing Ethan like a president avoiding a shoe.
Roux does some shady messaging to an unknown recipient and Athelia talks to him about Sylas and what they’d have been doing in their normal lives if all this hadn’t happened. She is oddly offended at his answer that he’d probably be a miner. Athelia also reveals that she’s never been on the ocean(!), only rivers and lakes; not even anything as large and deep as the Lake of the Lost Pearl.
Nemra asks Astarael about Talith; to her displeasure, she has to clarify that yes, they are partnered. They discuss the neutrality of magic, Astarael touting it as a tool, which can be used for good or ill.
