Spring 12 – Autumn
Six of them go to investigate the ruins, finding not much except signs of a fresher bootprint. They jump the chasm (well, Kibeth jumps the chasm and brings Kaisi and Aureya across), finding body pieces and a bloody cleaver, including the legs of the Mayor. Kaisi retrieves the cleaver and Kibeth the inkwell and pen of the Mayor. A kobold is sighted, but scuttles away.
The rest of spring and all of summer passes. They try and reach the temple, but find the few remains of Sheriff Hane and auronachus-like footprints, including an enormous one. The days continue to get longer, even more than summer should permit. Earthquakes increase, smaller than before but more frequent. The townsfolk start to fortify the town with a wooden wall.
Ava studies until she learns magic. Peach reads her mom’s journals. Kibeth takes earnestly to the forge, creating a hammer for herself. Xalati starts to work out and takes to weaponswork with a will, starting a training program for all the villagers as well. Kaisi builds an obstacle course and starts putting on shadow plays. Esmund plans and builds a prosthetic arm for Vathedrian.
