45 Autumn
Aureya, Kaisi, Peach, Sal and Xalati meet and decide to scout the chasm beneath the ruins. They notice someone’s been by in the last few weeks, and feel tremors like something huge, far in the distance, walking around. They cross the chasm and delve deep, noticing the walls are decorated in a dwarven fashion. They find a symbol of a god that deals with fire, crafts and iron, from the first people to shape stone and metal; it was studied by dwarves, but not made by them, as it’s from a people much older.
They continue onward and find a room that contains an obelisk and a pit with rotting corpses and old bones. Investigating invisibly, Aureya and Xalati figure out it’s some kind of shrine, covered in carvings they can’t read; there’s charred flesh that’s a few weeks old. Kaisi can read it, as a mix of Primordial and Draconic. The primary glyph on it says World Forge, and it also says, “The world must be remade.”
Aureya and Xalati, continuing ahead to investigate, come to a room with a flowing magma pool and the silhouette of a creature 12’ tall, skin of iron ore and shape reptilian, with the ringing of hammer on anvil resounding.
