Water and Light
Myrwood
Autumn 61 – 62
Aureya gingerly climbs down the well (by Jessica Dru)Even though the enormous quake split and formed a chasm in the city, they decide to continue on their plan and climb down the cliff, heading back toward the plaza with the well. Xalati forms a distraction while the rest study the well.
Aureya starts a cleansing ritual and, on realizing something in it is obstructing the ritual, climbs down the well and finds herself in an underwater cave with a rotting body chained on a little island. As she starts to burn it with sacred fire, zombies come running, battle erupting as the others defend the well.
Aureya receives images and memories from the focal corpse: a one-eyed man stabbing him in the eye, a red-haired woman and a young blond halfling coming after to correct some mistake. She successfully fights through the foulness and cleanses the body of the darkness infusing it.
