Season 12 - Inquisition
A former private, promoted in field duty to Lieutenant, Painted Swan. He fell in love with Vanja without knowing she was a witch, until she got caught doing magic and he ended up torturing her. Ethan almost killed him (and did take an eye), but Vanja healed him and then confessed everything they had been doing, save for their pursuit of Danica.
Acting on her information and that the witches were fleeing south in the Beauty, stolen from Imago Weygarde, he came south pursuing them on the Trident. They caught up to the Beauty on 3 Summer 217 and captured it and the crew who were waiting for the conspirators to return from their foray into the mountains. Much to his astonishment, after a grasp’s worth of wait, he heard the voice of Vanja warning him about the approaching witches and to flee. Unfortunately for him, Roux and Athelia convinced the River Guardian that his ship and people were the source of the taint, and she promptly thrashed him and his entire crew. Despite the Suffering’s best attempts, Vanja couldn’t be convinced to surrender her will to the Suffering to revive him.
Season 13 - Shepherd’s End
Suspicious rumors of a one-eyed man pursuing a red-headed necromancer floated about, but no sightings nor confirmation.
