The next room has an overflowing reservoir bubbling out of a cracked fountain into a trench that spans the room.

At times consider the top and how one might go over it
Then think of the King of Up, though the King does not lord over it
With all certainty one does proceed to follow in the wake of flames
Through ash and stone the fire groans and the shadows are cast with a smile
No hesitation, no rumination, but proceed with both cunning and guile
The room fills with a wall of flame and advances toward them as they approach the edge of the trough of water. Ixtalan and Peach fall in, only to face the tentacles of some giant being too large to even fit in this trough. Kaisi leaps over and dashes straight into the flames and disappears.
Ixtalan is next to follow, running on the ceiling via levitating boots, and finds Kaisi unharmed on the other side after passing through intense heat that doesn’t burn. The rest follow eventually and have a fight when Esmund wants to press on because of the lack of time and Peach wants to rest. Peach gets her way when Esmund storms off back upstairs to talk with the Mayor.
After speaking with the mayor and warning him of his planned actions, Esmund seals up the temple and prepares to lock it so only the party and the mayor can get in. He also hears a high-pitched whine in the first room and realizes that since it was Aureya’s puzzle and was solved by her, but Aureya isn’t currently here, it’s created a paradox.
Ixtalan sneaks into the next chamber for a peek, and finds it filled with planters overflowing with plants, gourds, flowers, mushrooms, and fruit.
