Blood of Yesterday
Cliffs of Easvolin
Autumn 23
Esmund manages to get all the predators’ attention with some lightning, yet admirably avoids taking many hits with a combination of “don’t hurt me” and “can’t hit me” spells (Sanctuary and Shield). The Deeplurker does latch onto Xalati and sucks away what little brain and memory she has. Despite that, she still manages to somehow catch it and prevent it from running when it tries to (yay Sentinel).
Despite what would later be discovered as fighting it down to 11hp remaining, Kaisi calls for a truce and Esmund calls for a surrender. He agrees to make a Door for the Deeplurker to return to its home plane. The Deeplurker says something he needs to make the Door is nearby, and that he knows Esmund knows how to do it.
They all receive images of Ixtalan as a child, her drowning face, and the Deeplurker’s rage and grief at the death of its mate at Michka Imet’s hands.
