The King of Up
Shepherd’s End
Autumn 45
They manage to fend off the iron kobold attack successfully, killing several and capturing two. Vathedrian is informed of what they’ve found out, and does some research, only finding out the World Forge is a fanatical cult, thought to be long dead and destroyed. Peach teaches Muna about death.
They go to question the kobolds, or more accurately are present while Kaisi questions the kobolds, as the only one who can speak to and understand them. He ends up sending one back to arrange a meeting between him and the Priest they keep talking about, who apparently means to make the fire great again, set the whole world on fire.
Xalati and Yev talk about wanting to keep each other alive and that neither of them really know anything about what’s going on. He asks if she really heard Tala and she admits to it, but she didn’t hear anyone else.
Ava gives Peach some books on magic and a pep talk to help her find out more about her own magic.
Kaisi refuses to meet the Verdict when summoned.
Aureya shares her suspicions with Salinger that the World Forge and what’s happening with Kibeth’s breathing forge are linked.
Also other stuff but the editrix left early.
