Fighter, music-maker, lover, alcoholic. Bears the constellation of the Fox, which made him refuse to lie down and die until the battle was over. Died against the Frost-Forged Dragon, but came back when Bax traded his own life for Roux’s with the Raven Queen. Is partly responsible for bringing the Tide’s Song into the Feywild. Has seen his elf mother in there.

Among his accomplishments are seducing people nobody asked him to seduce and killing Tyr Isendel (not at the same time).

Last seen being beaten up by people he owed money to, just before the Breaking.

At a Glance

Roux takes after his father when it comes to his physical build. Tall and lean. Muscular and scarred from a hard life of working the mines and fighting in the pit. There is a significant scar just under his left arm that seems to bother him sometimes, as he rubs at it occasionally whilst furrowing his brow. On his back left shoulder are 6 black stars arranged in a particular pattern, which could very well be mistaken for a tattoo. Most of you have seen light pour from this pattern when Roux was gravely wounded in battle.

Though Roux is built like his father, luckily, he got his mother’s good looks. Handsome, with a wry smile that gives away when he’s joking. He makes solid eye contact with dark eyes that flash green when the light hits them the right way. His slightly pointed ears hide in his ashen brown hair that is currently cut short and choppy (He probably cut it himself). When Roux was younger, his hair was longer and would fall in his face causing him to sweep it back with his hand; a practice that he still maintains despite his short hair. A five o’clock shadow covers his oft clenched jaw.

So that’s Roux! His outfits are pretty nondescript. Greys and blacks (sometimes dark green). Practical. Weapons of note are the crooked lightning-shaped javelin, the lute bow (a crossbow with several other strings that can play music), and now a Dwarven warhammer. He wears Adamantine chain mail and carries a regular old shield. Final things of note are a necklace with a leather cord that he always wears under his clothing, and a fox mask that he has it tied to his pack.

Starting Bio

Digging tin is not for the weak. That’s why if you spend any amount of time around the mines, you’ll mostly see hardened dwarfs at home underground, muscled humans covered in dirt and scars, and the odd, diminutive gnome or halfling for fitting into the tighter spots. When S’olenroux, at age 15, told his father, Arlo, he was going to work the tin mines, he laughed, downed the last of his whisky, and simply said, “Don’t be an idiot.”

But the beating Roux received that night didn’t dissuade him. Neither did the torment from the other miners when a half-elf showed up to dig tin. Despite the hostile environment, Roux worked long and hard in the mines, soon becoming at home in the darkness. But the Collapse is what really earned him respect among the other miners. None of those trapped talk about it much, but upon emerging three days later, the other miners accepted Roux as one of their own.

A year later, Roux, now 18, still digs tin, and occasionally runs into his father at the local tavern. The last argument they had was quite a familiar one. His mother, Talia. The only thing his father has ever said about why she left when he was only six is, “She must’ve heard the call of her people.” Clearly, Arlo never got over it, based on his self-destructive and shady ways. And based on his thinly veiled temper and tendency to stand up for the weak, perhaps, neither has Roux.
