Season 10

Talith Elinasti - Starting Bio

A child of Aelorean’s Crossing. After his sister Vivian was killed, he became the target of his parents torturing him as a child to try and make him worthy of the Suffering, a malevolent force they worshiped and were trying to make a deity.

Doings

Much had happened during their stay in the forest. They had joined the Red Bandanas, led by Rye. The children trained and honed their skills. At one point, the foolish boy even snuck away, like his sister, and tried to gain information of the state of their home. Looking back on it, it was a suicide run with with nothing to be gained for anyone. By some miracle, Talith had managed to return to the forest. It was much later, that the children would return to rescue their friend, Bax, who had been captured by the Swans. Talith spent the better half of the battle unable to take a single step. Fear took hold as he knew he was so close to that house. He could fight beasts and soldiers, but when it came to facing his home… Luckily after some time, Talith was able to muster up enough courage to put the fear aside and join his friends in battle.

Talith age 15, by Moe BalingerAfter the battle won and Bax set free, the children remained in the ashes of Aelorean’s Crossing for a short time. During that time, Talith visited his home to where he was met with unspeakable horrors. His father was nothing more than a dismembered corpse and his mother was something… else. Talith had attempted to charm his mother with magic. It was an attempt to make his mother love him. At least once, he wanted to know what it was like to be held by a loving mother’s embrace, but his magic held no merit. It was during this time, Talith found out the absolute truth. Vivian hadn’t run away as she had planned. His sister had died that night all those years ago. Finally, after some time, the boy emerged anew. He carried a new sword, the blade tarnished, but still effective. This new sword was special to the boy. Throughout many stories, heroes would name their weapons and Talith would do the same. He would always keep this sword, Vivian, close at his side.

Before the children left Aelorean’s Crossing for good, Talith visited his empty home once more. It was there that he would set it ablaze. As he sat, watching he’ll be consumed by its own flames, a thought jolted through his mind. He had realized that yes, his parents were awful people, but they were only puppets. He would get revenge on this puppeteer known as The Suffering. Were it not for this entity, Talith and his sister could have truly lived a happy life. He made a vow that night to himself. He would put an end to The Suffering.

Season 11 - Northgate

Years passed by and the children found themselves at Northgate, a town bordering Isendel and Jorung. It was here that many of the group discovered talents previously unknown to them. Talith joined a performance troupe at The Quicksloth Inn. It was there that he would shine as an actor. This job was easy for him seeing how he spent his whole life playing a role and wearing a mask. It was also during this time, that he met Sara Fasstrel, the leader of the troupe. She would become his first love, or so he believed at least. The boy had never actually been in love before, but he assumed what they had was it. However, this idea of love that Talith had was short lived, for Sara vanished in the middle of the night, never to be seen again.

Time continued to pass as many events took place. The group had found ties to the suffering, and even managed to rescue a young child by the name of Quilt. Talith took a liking to the child, for Quilt had gone through much of the same trauma as he had.

One fateful day, Talith had left to visit the market. Upon return, he witnessed the death of Garbon and the burning of their new home. Every ounce of Talith’s being wanted to charge in and do something, anything. However, Talith had begun to learn, through his friends, to think things through. And though he still struggled to do so, now was not one of those times. Talith fled.

Season 12

The Suffering continued to dog Talith, achieving some form of a near-sentient, independent presence after stealing the lifeforce of various street children of Northgate and the remains of Hampton, Garbon’s pet pig from Aelorean’s Crossing. Struck up a romance with Astarael, but on the way back from Rog Hodun was stolen by the Suffering. It torturde him for months before the spirit of his sister Vivian sacrificed herself to help him break free.

Afterward, helped depose Tyr Isendel and, after pursuing Astarael fruitlessly to Moraeth, became a hand of Alistair’s and helped him eliminate the last pockets of Swan resistance to the new order.

Season 14

Returned some 7-8 years before Season 14’s start and led a life of monster-hunting and training guards, before being drawn by the pull of his dreams to Ivakar’s Passage, where he met Ashen and Hark’ul. He arrived in Endergaln with the rest, but grew scarce and hasn’t been often seen since.

S14 E04: War and Peace | 15.5

• The intruder, one Ashen, falls over, but they realize he’s also featured in their dreams. Talith reappears in a flash of white with no memory of the intervening time, and Peach notices a star on her thumb. The three openly-Isendel folks reunite. The group decamps and travels deeper into the mountains until they hear howling. (Jan 31)
